The Casting Crowns Official Website
I just got the prerelease of the Casting Crowns CD that will be out September 30. First spin... I like it. It is definately new Christian radio style, but don't scratch it off just yet. The sound is rich and well produced. Lyrics aren't the cheeese you are used to either. These guys look to be posed for a great launch. The site didn't have any links for samples, but if you have a Christian radio station in your town I'm sure you'll get plenty from there.

We're going to the beach next week... we are having someone house/dog sit, so don't get any ideas... but the weather is somewhat uncooporative. I don't think I could handle going to a beach town mall more than once.. maybe twice if they have a cigar store.

Yesterday's advisory was the first to indicate that the threat might be directed at buildings as well as planes. "

Interesting to know that the government expects terrorist to try to make their ordinary personal items and try to make them look like weapons. Perhaps they are going to try to over run the security folk so they get used to seeing knives, guns and explosives. I can see the next headline "Security Forced Stunned that Stun Gun was a Stun Gun" with a sub quote "We thought it was a cell phone made to look like a stun gun."

Ouch. George Grant spoke this Sunday morning on this passage. What an amazing picture of Christ's plan being different that what we would choose.
Laodicea was saying they were well off, things were going great. We've got it together. Christ heard "I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing."
Philly was broken. They were persecuted by "Jews" who claimed they were members of the group but were actually only Jew by name and heritage... in their hearts they were heathen and their temple was synagog of Satan! This little church was blessed by being called a pilar in the temple of God. They were known as the door to the East and Christ followed this thought "See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut."

His challenge was to be a church that was aware of the desparate state we are in. Our wealth and security means nothing. It would be better for us to the tortured if it meant we were going to be true to our Lord and able to be used. Momma. What a bite to chew on.

Works pretty good. I tried to use the one that sends info to Google about the pages you are viewing, but it slowed down my connection so I switched to the one that didn't. Sorry Dane, Johnny T and everyone else... I was trying to score you some Google points.
